Now, live on stage, Kyle will offer an utterly original account of his offbeat journey in Hollywood and the projects that have shaped who he is today. Insightful, refreshingly earnest, and droll, he will chronicle his humble beginnings in idyllic Yakima, Washington, the lifelong hesitance to fame that shadowed him early on, and how this manifested in the alter ego he aptly calls “Other Kyle”. Don’t miss the chance to hear behind-the-scenes stories from his most famous roles and lessons learned along the way, his unwavering and long-lasting relationship with late director and close friend David Lynch, on and off-screen romantic entanglements, his own take on being a father, and much more. You'll also have the chance to put your own questions to the man of the hour himself. With candour and vulnerability, these stories offer an honest look into the remarkable, and often unpredictable, life of an enduring and endearing Hollywood icon.

Join Jon Richardson along with Susie McCabe as he takes you through his new book and much more. What possible value could there be in revisiting the awkward, unfiltered thoughts of a 14-year-old boy, especially now, in his forties and a successful comedian, actor and father? As it turns out, quite a lot. In this candid memoir, Jon reconnects with his younger self – a boy growing up in an era when Oasis dominated the charts and Baywatch dominated his imagination. From embarrassing teenage misadventures, including a mortifying PE lesson involving a climbing rope, to small but significant triumphs like earning a pack of Chewits for the ‘cleanest tent’ at scout camp, Jon revisits the moments that shaped him and, ultimately, set him on the path to comedy. "Whip-smart comedy... His mind is extraordinary." GQ "A wildly funny whinge of volcanic frustrations" ★★★★ The Guardian Please note ticket price includes a copy of the book.

Hilarious. Moving. Completely true. How do you work out who you are when you’ve spent most of your life trying to work out where you belong? Scott Kyle has spent a lifetime trying to answer that question. From a childhood shaped by poverty, violence, sectarianism and the care system, to an extraordinary career in theatre, film and television — and eventually coming full circle as a foster carer himself — Scott’s life has taken him places he could never have imagined. And very little of it has gone according to plan. There have been extraordinary highs, spectacular mistakes, unlikely friendships, failures, second chances and moments so ridiculous they could only be true. But underneath the laughter are questions most of us have asked ourselves: Who am I? Where do I belong? And what am I actually supposed to do with my life? In It’s Not Where You Start, award-winning actor, producer and author Scott Kyle takes audiences on a funny, candid and deeply personal journey through the people, places and unexpected moments that shaped the person he eventually became. From film and television sets to the extraordinary rise, fall and return of Scottish theatre phenomenon Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim, Scott discovers that sometimes the things that go wrong tell us more about who we are than the things that go right. Performed live using storytelling, photographs, film and animation, It’s Not Where You Start moves from laugh-out-loud stories to moments of remarkable honesty. This isn’t a story about having all the answers. It’s about spending a lifetime looking for them. Funny, surprising, poignant and ultimately uplifting, it’s a show for anyone who has ever questioned where they belong, changed direction, started again — or wondered whether they’re actually doing what they’re supposed to be doing with their life. From foster care to foster carer. Because sometimes you have to travel a very long way to discover who you were all along.

Scotland’s award-winning comedy — like you’ve never seen it before. What happens when one of Scotland’s best-loved theatre comedies collides with the unpredictability of live football commentary? Welcome to The Widescreen Edition of Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim. Two football fans. Two sides of Glasgow. One prison cell. On the day of an Old Firm clash, Rangers supporter Billy and Celtic fan Tim find themselves locked up together — and forced to confront the rivalry, prejudice, humour and contradictions that have divided generations. Funny, fast, provocative and packed with the unmistakable Glasgow humour that has made Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim a Scottish theatre phenomenon, The Widescreen Edition takes the original award-winning comedy and turns it into a completely different live experience. The play unfolds on stage while some of Scottish football’s most recognisable voices, former players and personalities watch from the sidelines — providing live, unscripted commentary, analysis, predictions, stories and reactions to the action. No two performances are quite the same. And with Rangers and Celtic legends sitting side by side, sometimes the action off the pitch is every bit as entertaining as the action on it. The widescreen team Rob MacLean — broadcaster and commentator David Tanner — broadcaster and presenter Charlie Miller — former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson — former Rangers midfielder Peter Grant — former Celtic midfielder Simon Donnelly — former Celtic forward Jackie McNamara — former Celtic captain David Robertson — former Rangers defender Together with the full cast of Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim, they bring the atmosphere, arguments and humour of Scottish football into the theatre — with absolutely no guarantee that everyone will agree with the referee. Beneath the laughs remains the reason Billy & Tim has endured. This is a comedy about football, friendship, family, identity and sectarianism — asking why the colours we wear can mean so much, where rivalry ends and hatred begins, and whether two people raised on opposite sides can discover they have considerably more in common than they thought. Part theatre. Part football show. Part live commentary. Completely unpredictable. Whether you’re Rangers, Celtic, neither — or couldn’t tell a penalty from a corner kick — Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim: The Widescreen Edition is first and foremost a great night of Scottish comedy. 90 minutes. Two teams. One stage. And absolutely no VAR.

The RCS Symphony Orchestra presents its first concert of the academic year, with a dynamic programme conducted by guest conductor Karen Ní Bhroin. The concert opens with an overture by Grażyna Bacewicz. Bacewicz wrote her Overture in secret in 1943, during the German occupation of Poland. The orchestra will mark ten years since Peter Maxwell Davies’ death with a performance of Orkney Wedding with Sunrise, featuring a solo bagpiper in its evocative depiction of life in Orkney, where the composer, fondly known as Max, lived and died. MA Conducting student Buğra Yüzügüldü will then lead the orchestra in a performance of John Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine. After the interval, the orchestra performs Dvořák’s Symphony No.8, a radiant celebration of lyrical invention, warmth, and orchestral richness.

His work blends minimalism, electronica and cinematic sound to create music that feels both intimate and expansive. This programme opens with Richter’s Opus 2020, a reflective piece shaped by themes of memory and time. Glass’s Company follows with clear textures and pulsing rhythms, before Adams’ The Chairman Dances brings lively, jazz inflected energy. The concert ends with Richter’s Recomposed: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons, a fresh reimagining of the original. Mari Samuelsen leads the performance with vivid, expressive insight.
